Apologies for the recent lack of blogging - have no lead for my camera so downloading photos proving awkward in the extreme so having to scrounge stuff as and when - also still hopelessly out-of-synch, so here's some piccies from our trip to Isla Magdalena in March to see the penguins in their burrows - very strange but very very cool - the boat journey there was VERY rough, but I think worth it...
Andrea looking pensive (or maybe just bored?)
Matt sees his first camera.......
The famous penguin island.....hordes of man-eating penguins greedily lined the shore awaiting their weekly taste of human flesh...
No they aren't man-eaters.....how could anything this cute (I use this word advisedly) be evil? I mean, they live in burrows! If only Richard Adams had been here "Watership Down" would've been a completely different book.....

The tide was so low we only got 15 minutes on the island instead of the usual hour!! That was really annoying, though not as annoying for us as for the guy who (we think) was left behind!! The next boat wasn't for another 4 days - hope he likes penguin (or the penguins like him...)
Gerry practises for the forthcoming "Penguin Pro-V" advert.
"The End!"
